About Us

Showfit Studios (formerly Centrestage Performing Arts School) is a family-run performing arts institution based in East Brunswick, Melbourne. Established in 1990, the school has become a cornerstone of the local arts community, offering exceptional training in dance, acting, musical theatre, and performance. With a legacy of care, clarity, and consistency, Showfit Studios provides students with both technical skill and personal growth in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Over the past 35 years, thousands of young people have found their confidence and creative voice at Showfit Studios. From early learners to pre-professionals, the school offers a clear pathway of development through weekly classes, private coaching, and performance opportunities. Its approach is designed to foster resilience, discipline, and self-expression—qualities that serve students both on stage and beyond.

Showfit Studios is also home to SHOWFIT, a one-year full-time musical theatre program (with an optional second year) designed to prepare emerging performers for professional careers on stage and screen. The course combines technical training with industry mentorship and performance experience, with many graduates going on to appear in major productions across Australia and internationally.

Expanding beyond the studio, the Showfit family includes Ian White Management (IWM), a respected talent agency representing actors and creatives across theatre, television, and film, and IWM Next Gen, a dedicated division supporting young performers. Together, these businesses create a unique ecosystem: a pathway from first steps in the studio through to professional representation and industry careers.
